This Wichard product, which can be considered as a lifting accessory, is CE marked in self-certification according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42. The marking includes the following elements
- A maximum working load (WLL)
- CE marking, product origin, manufacturer's logo
- Materials used
- Serial number of the manufacturing batch
Working load (WL): to be considered for nautical applications
Maximum working load (MWL): to be considered only for industrial applications (lifting etc..). The safety factor chosen is 5 in relation to the breaking load. CMU (WLL) = Breaking load / 5.
